Pointers for Students and Parents attending Nordic Ski Races

Pointers for Students and Parents attending Nordic Ski Races
By Kathy H.
  1. Dress in layers, kids get warmer than they think they will
  2. Chocolate milk is being recommended as the perfect post race drink
  3. Everything takes longer than you think
  4. At most races you can see the kids at more than one spot, it varies from hill to hill so ask around
  5. Headbands work better than hats in most weather conditions because the kids sweat so much, bold easy to spot ones are best for observers to be able to identify kids,
  6. If you like to ski bring your skis you can often ski a little at races,
  7. For the big races parents often organize a tailgate party with food, etc... for the kids
